Meet Your Maker

Ellie has worked as an apparel designer and material developer in the fashion industry for over 13 years. She has been sewing, upcycling, and mending garments just as long.

She started Road Trip Pattern Co. to help others bring their visions to life with the backing of a trusted industry professional.

During her time working at companies large and small, she became a multi-disciplinary designer with experience in the following areas:

  • Apparel Design and Fit Analysis for Misses, Plus, and Menswear

  • Technical Design and Grading

  • Material Innovation and Trim Development

  • Sewing and Pattern Alterations

  • Trend, Concept, and Color Direction

Her creative journey is inspired by the outdoors but shaped by her curiosity for the intersection between art and function; all of which inform her exploration in textiles, clay, dyes, and paint.

Motivated by the Outdoors

As a collector of many hobbies (backpacking, skiing, paddleboarding, rock climbing, and more), I truly value creating high quality, functional products that get people outside.

Through a circular mindset, I strive to design with as little global impact as possible.

To ensure long-lasting pieces that your customers will love, I can help guide your product to have the highest quality seams, efficient construction and markers, low-waste packaging, eco-friendly materials, and more.
