Meet Your Maker: Ellie

I am an apparel designer and material developer with 15 years experience developing and fitting apparel at brands such as Columbia, Gap, and Wool&. I have been sewing, upcycling, and mending garments just as long!

As a collector of basically all the PNW hobbies (backpacking, yoga, rock climbing, trail running, skiing), I find that no detail is too small when it comes to designing, patterning, and wear-testing activewear. At the end of the day, I deeply value creating well-fitting, timeless products that fit and feel good, allowing every body to enjoy nature.

I started Road Trip Pattern Co. with the vision of bringing modern, functional outdoor apparel to the home sewing world. Backed with my industry expertise in outdoor apparel, materials, and fitting (women’s standard, plus sizes, and menswear), I aim to bring a professional eye that provides inclusive sizing and durable construction techniques on all patterns.
